Chinese yarn fabric "black technology" you don't know
"How nice it would be to have a stain-proof and waterproof T-shirt." Many people would probably come up with the idea when their company's tea room was splashed all over with coffee.
The Software Image Exhibition "Dear World" by the Textile Library at Beijing PCCW Center tries to give more imagination space to the yarn fabric by crossing the border with the image device. In addition, people can also take away a pair of small white shoes which are not dirty on rainy days.
"This exhibition is a breakthrough in the infinite application of yarn fabrics." "Dear, World" curator and founder of the Yarn and Cloth Library, Matthew Xia, described the exhibition . She has been looking for a more appropriate way for the public to perceive the infinite charm and possibilities of yarn fabrics through more technological, experiential and artistic forms.
"Dear, the world" from the center of PCCW out of the "shear", "stack", "wash", "paint", "touch", "weave" and "dye" seven space, with different yarn fabric language to connect them. After tasting the tailored city image, the viewer climbs through the software corridor stacked with yarn cloth, climbs from the device resembling the morning subway, filled with inflatable software, and enters a space made of more than 400 pure white image cloth cards. Behind each cloth card, there is a unique yarn cloth.
One of them is the interactive photo-sensitive cloth cards. The viewers can use special flashlights to "light-paint" the picture frames. The yarn fabric on the picture frames uses photosensitive technology, which enables the yarn fabric to discolor under ultraviolet radiation and return to white in tens of seconds after the light disappears. The benches in the exhibition also hide "black technology". When the benches are exposed to temperatures over 31 degrees C, the contact areas will show completely different colors, leaving clear shapes. After cooling, they can gradually restore their original shapes and colors. This is also an interesting cooperation between yarn and cloth libraries and home brand squeaks.
High-tech yarn fabrics break the perception of ordinary consumption. High-speed changes in the demand of contemporary consumers have made traditional materials change. Yarn fabrics have become interesting, people-oriented, or have sustainable value through the use of science and technology.
